In the years 2009-2014 he was the editor-in-chief of the semi-annual academic journal ‘Studia Gdańskie’ (http://www.studiagdanskie.diecezja.gda.pl/en/).
In 2008 he stayed in London for nearly a year, where he studied the local Polish community. In 2018 he spent half a year in Vienna, where in cooperation with the University of Vienna he collected materials for a book about the Polish community in Vienna.
He is interested in the current situation in Austria and Germany. Realization of this interest is possible thanks to an excellent command of German (Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom, Munich 2008).
In Poland, he propagates the thoughts of the French-American anthropologist and literary scholar René Girard (1923-2015), which is known as mimetic theory. He is a recognized specialist in this field.
He has participated in over 70 conferences in the country and abroad, he is the author of 3 books and over 200 articles and book reviews.
