Jacek Tebinka – professor at University of Gdańsk (Head of Chair of Contemporary History and Political Thought in Institute of Political Sciences). Visiting Professor, Chair of Polish History and Culture at Hebrew University of Jerusalem – 2006/2007. He graduated from University of Gdańsk (history 1988), (political sciences 1991).
Author of books: Polityka brytyjska wobec problemu granicy polsko-radzieckiej 1939-1945, Warszawa 1998, Nadzieje i rozczarowania. Polityka Wielkiej Brytanii wobec Polski 1956-1970, Warszawa 2005, and Uzależnienie czy suwerenność? Odwilż październikowa w dyplomacji Polskiej Rzeczypospolitej Ludowej 1956-1961, Warszawa 2010 and „Wielka Brytania dotrzyma lojalnie swojego słowa”. Winston S. Churchill a Polska, Warszawa 2013). He is interested in British Foreign Policy, Anglo-Polish relations in 20th Century, Intelligence dimension in diplomacy, Human rights issues, Polish question in Second World War and Cold War History.
He also publishes in the press and appears on the radio and television talking about history of international relations and foreign policy.
He participated actively in academic conferences, reading plenary and session papers, at 76 international and national conferences and he has published 5 monographs, 41 articles in specialized academic journals and have contributed 51 book chapters.
